Synopsis
“I will do anything to make her MINE.” —Remington Tate

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington “Remy” Tate as vital as the air he breathes . . . and now he can’t live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman’s dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, Brooke is torn away from the ringside. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.

Sandy B's Review
“I’m in love, and I will be forever changed by this love, by this man. I used to dream of medals and championships, but now I dream solely of a blue-eyed fighter who one day changed my life, when he put his lips on mine. . . ” – Brooke Dumas
“Tell me you want me. That you’re hot for me and I’ll take care of you. I’ll take care of my woman – whenever she wants. Whatever she wants.” – Remington Tate
“You cope knowing I love you, that's how you cope. I f*cking love you," he hisses.” – Remington Tate

“Is this heart the one that loves?  Or do you love with your soul, which is infinite? I don’t know. All I know is that I feel this love in every molecule in my body, every breath I take, all the infinity in my soul. I learned that you can’t run if you tear a ligament, but your heart can be broken into a million pieces, and you can still love with your whole being.” – Brooke Dumas (LOVE LOVE LOVE  this paragraph.  Gorgeous phrasing.)

I could go on and on with favorite quotes.  I highlighted the heck out of this one.  Katy Evans does a great job of hooking us from the first page.  The intensity doesn’t let up – not for a second!
You remember the movie Weird Science?  The two boys feed part of different women into a scanner and out pops Kelly LeBrock? Well I want to feed Mine into a scanner so I can have a Remington Tate.  I wouldn’t share him with none of you cause I want all that sexy, powerful, hot, intense and all consuming deliciousness all to myself.
Katy Evans continues with Mine where she left off with Real. Remy is back on track to win the championship he gave up to save Brooke’s sister Nora from Scorpion.  Brooke is by his side living, loving, fighting and whatever else is necessary for the man she loves. These two are stuck like glue to each other and to say they practically need each other to breathe is not an exaggeration.  The electricity between them is ridiculous; however, it fits within the context of Remy’a disorder.  That doesn’t mean that everything is sunshine and roses.  Remy’s bipolar disorder is still something they are managing.  Even Remy’s parents make an appearance in this installment.  If you’re expecting a happy reunion well then you’re going to be disappointed.  The confrontation is ugly.  It is painful. It is raw.  It gives us a very clear picture of the dark cloud that Remy grew up under.  There is definitely a monster here but it isn’t Remy.  Unfortunately, it also sends him into a tailspin so dark and so deep that his entire future is in jeopardy.  His career, the championship and even his relationship with Brooke are at risk.  There is a silver lining here – a little unexpected surprise that will change the way Remy, Brooke and everyone they care about look at life.  Enter Brooke’s parents who finally learn the truth about their younger daughter Nora and the life that she’s been living.
Remy Remy Remy how do I love thee?  I couldn’t count the ways!  There is more than just sex here.  Though in the world of book boyfriends you would be hard pressed to find anyone hotter, or more passionate, or more alpha than Remington Tate.  Here you also have a good supporting cast of characters (Pete, Riley, Coach, Melanie) that each have their own personalities.  Not to mention, Brooke is no push over.  The girl has chutzpa and gives just as good as she gets.  Of course, Scorpion comes back into the picture.  Does Remington give Scorpion the beatdown that he so richly deserves?  Is Remy able to pull it together in time to regain what he lost?  You’ll have to read Mine yourself to find out.  I really hope you do cause Katy Evans writing is absolutely swoon worthy.  Book #3 Remy is next on deck and I cannot wait to take that ride.
