You know sometimes when you finish a book; you close your kindle or the cover and take a deep breath? You take a few minutes and think about what you just read; getting your thoughts together? Once that’s done you are ready to tell the world about this awesome book and how badly it needs to be read? That was me but, it was tough getting there! Let me tell you why…

I started Full Measures in the midst of the big snow storm the other day. I knew I would not be leaving the house, so it was a good time. I had my coffee, kids were playing, and it was great. What I didn’t have was the box of tissues I needed. (Take heed) I was not prepared for the punch in the gut I received shortly after beginning the book! I’m not trying to be funny; although I can smile now. After I began to heal, I then was not ready for the anger that ensued not long after that. It’s been a while since I was THAT mad and I felt it all over! Rebecca had me ready to open a bottle of wine at 10 am and I LOVED every minute of it!

I’ve decided that Ember is one of my all time favorite female characters. She rocks. Josh? He. Is. Amazing. Enough said. I really could go on and on but, I would rather you read the book. I am very much looking forward to reading more of Rebecca’s work. And, I would love to hear what you think after you’ve read Full Measures!

Hey there, thanks for letting me talk to you today.
Ember asked me to give you my top ten songs, and since it’s Valentines Day, I figured I could do that for her. 
I love music.  I love the way it pumps me up before a game, or the way it mellows me out after.  Songs always manage to say what I can’t quite get right, or what I’m just too chicken to say out loud. My tastes are a little eclectic, all over the place, which means there’s genre I’m not a fan of, and it’s always evolving. So here are some my favorite tracks.

Rebecca Yarros is a hopeless romantic and lover of all things chocolate, coffee, and Paleo. In addition to being a mom, military wife, and blogger, she can never choose between Young Adult and New Adult fiction, so she writes both. Katie Delahanty Bio:


Katie Delahanty is a fashion designer turned novelist. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from UCLA and a Professional Designation in Fashion Design from FIDM. It never occurred to her that she was a writer until an economic-crisis-induced career shift from lingerie designer to e-commerce webmistress led her to start the company blog. Not being an expert in lingerie, she decided to write the blog as a fictional serial starring a girl named Olivia Bloom who worked for the lingerie line. And that’s when Katie fell in love with storytelling. She hasn’t looked back since. Katie lives in Los Angeles with her husband.
