I believe in love at first sight... because I am a mother.

Living a complete lie, holding on to a secret that could cost me the most important thing in my life was about to surface. I couldn’t breathe without Maddie. Maddie was my life. The saying about dying for your child is the absolute truth. The other things you would do are comparable to that of death. I know, I did those things. I did unthinkable things, all for Maddie. I continued the lie, the secrets with the one man who had no right. People say you always have options. That’s a lie. I had no choice. I did it all for her... for my Maddie.

Sandy B's thoughts:

This is the story of Whitley Bradshaw and the night that she met Alex Wesson.  A night that would forever change the course of her life and affect everyone around her.  Let me first say that I didn’t like Whitley very much.  She’s a bit of a cry baby, who allows her adorable daughter to run rampant doing whatever she wants.  Then again I don’t like Alex either.  He’s a liar, a manipulator, a schemer and dear readers, I don’t care how you slice it – a rapist.  This little fact, was problematic for me to overlook while reading All for Maddie.  There was also the fact that Alex would manipulate Whitley and she would hate him, then he would find a way back in and she would love him, then he would lie, she would find out and she would hate him.  Then he would do it all over again and she would hate him all over – AGAIN.

I’ll tell you what I did like – very much – the assorted cast of character surrounding Whitley and Alex.  Whitley’s daughter, Maddie, is spoiled rotten by everyone but still manages to be cute as heck!  Even though she insist on feeding her fish all kinds of stuff that fish should never eat, such as, gummy bears.  Inexplicably, Alex’s family seems so, well, normal, that you wonder what the hell happened to him?  We do end up finding out why he is so single minded in his purpose to have his daughter.  However, I won’t spoil it by telling you.
Okay so back to Alex’s very funny family.

Alex’s Mother Connie:  “I’m only an alcoholic on the weekends.  You live with your father for almost thirty years, and remain sober.”

Alex’s Sister Regan & her husband Vince:  “You weren’t checking out her skirt.  You were checking out her a**.  What color is her skirt?”  Regan scolded her husband.  Vince looked at me (Whitley) sitting behind the island.  He couldn’t see my skirt not did he have any idea what color it was.  We all laughed as he put his head down and walked away, busted.”

All in all I would not be telling the truth if I said that I wasn’t drawn into seeing where this all ended up.  I was very frustrated as I turned the pages but still interested. Unfortunately, the rape issue lingered in my mind.  Added to Alex’s further actions and it colored the way I looked at Whitley and Alex’s love story.  I’m sure some will disagree with me and that’s fine.  I even thought he may be beyond redemption.  Whether that is the case or not – you are free to decide for yourself.

“What’s wrong, baby? Did you have a bad dream?”
“No. A gemin under my bed,” she assured me.
“A gemin?” I repeated, not sure what the heck she was talking about.
“Uh-huh, I go in your bed, K?”
I carried her back to bed with me and snuggled her little body close to mine.
“A gemin under you bed?” she asked.
“What is a gemin?” I asked, wondering if she knew herself.
She rolled to her back so she could demonstrate with her hands.
“It dat big,” she gestured. “Dem can’t have no water.”
“Oh, my God!” I said, sitting up, reaching for my phone. I didn’t care that it was after two in the morning.
“What the hell, Whit?” Jaron answered on the third ring. “Do you know what time it is?”
“YES! You freaking let her watch Gremlins?”
“They’re cute,” he said.
“They’re monsters. She’s three for God’s sake.”
“I’ll tell her they’re not real tomorrow. Sorry, I’ll see you tomorrow,” Jaron said, hanging up on me. Grrrr. I couldn’t believe he let her watch the Gremlins.

Writing is more than a passion for me. I write adult books, romance and erotica. I did recently try my hand at a young adult romance, but because of the gutter that my mind seems to fall into. It quickly went into rated R mode. I reside in Ohio. I love living in Ohio, except maybe the cold winters, and the snow, well maybe the hot summers too. Ah hell, I hate Ohio.

I love to push my limits in writing, fuel the senses and emotions of my readers. I have some great supporters and love them all dearly.
