***Blog Tour Stop and Giveaway*** All the Pretty Poses by M. Leighton

ABOUT ALL THE PRETTY POSES:
He never wanted to be a hero…until she needed him to be.

Strength…
It took Kennedy Moore years to put her life back together after Reese Spencer shattered it.  But she did.  Now, years later, strong and independent, she is in pursuit of a single dream—to dance with the Altman American Dance Theater.  Unfortunately, Kennedy is learning that a girl from nowhere with no money and no contacts might never be able to reach her goal.

That is, until Reese reappears, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that Kennedy just can’t refuse.  In exchange for working on his yacht for a few short weeks, he’ll get her an audition with the famous dance troupe.  All Kennedy has to do is keep her head down, work hard and resist Reese.  That sounds easy enough, right?

Weakness…
Reese doesn’t want to make it easy for Kennedy.  Seeing her again has started a fire in his blood—an unwelcome one.  It took him years to forget about her before, so this time he has a plan.  It’s simple:  Get Kennedy on his yacht, seduce her, get her out of his system, move on with his life.  That sounds easy enough, right?

But the one thing Reese didn’t plan for was Kennedy herself—a girl so strong yet so broken, she makes him want to rescue her, to take care of her.  To save her.  Even if he has to save her from himself.
Sandy B's Review:

Reese: “I want to help you, Kennedy. I really do. And I will. But I won’t deny that I want you.”  He takes one easy step toward me.  “Or that I intend to have you.”  Kennedy: “My insides quake. His words…the memories…that look in his eyes…

Reese: “Out!” I shout, loud enough to be heard over the music. There is a pause, during which I turn to scan the room before I repeat, more harshly, “Everybody OUT.”  The room clears within a few seconds, the music of some other song left playing in the background. Kennedy is sitting up in her chair, watching me, water dripping from the ends of her hair. When I make my way up on the stage, she’s not moving, not breathing.  Neither am I….
It is not often that I give a book 5 stars.  OH MY GOODNESS I LOVED ALL THE PRETTY POSES!  Reese totally captivated me from the very beginning.  That part above where he tells everyone to get OUT of the room and you just know stuff is about to go down…was  one of my faves.  My heart was in my throat right through the rest of that chapter.
Reese is driven by the demons of his past.  In particular, his father, who you can imagine is not a nice guy.  Everything he knows about life and business he learned from this man, or so he thinks.  Reese is sexy, he is intense and he is all kinds of delicious.  Reese puts Kennedy on notice that he means to have her despite her protest to the contrary.  I for one was wishing I could crawl into the pages of this book and be Kennedy for one night.

Kennedy’s heart was broken by Reese as a young girl.  He makes her an offer she can’t refuse which then puts her straight in his cross hairs. Kennedy’s feelings are not as dead as she would like them to be.  Bless her heart cause the girl sure can talk a good game. What we don’t know and is revealed layer by layer is that Kennedy’s “still waters” run very very deep.

It felt to me like these two lost souls, were just that – lost!  They each have moved on with their lives, but are not really living.  Physically they are now adults but those teenagers that loved each other have never grown up.  If it is possible to live in a state of suspended animation then that is what Reese and Kennedy have done.  These two souls, hearts, spirits, whatever you call them have been waiting to once again become one.  There are curve balls here – some I suspected, others I did not see coming – and this gave the story a whole new depth.  It moved ATPP into a different category than just another yummy, hawt and smexy read.  I thought to myself there it is!  The angsty heartachy stuff that I love love love.  Curious?  Well don’t look at me cause I’m not telling you anything!
