Synopsis:

Jenn's Review:
OK, first I want to say holy hell that book is HOT!! Now
since that’s out of the way, it was also So. Much. More! What would you do if
the only person you loved was the one you had to leave, in order to protect
them? What do you do if your father (and I say that loosely, since he doesn’t
give a sh!t) beats the ever living hell out of you, because you fell in love
with someone of the same sex?
Colt Michaels has watched Jace Montgomery for years. He
knows his routine and that he is just a great guy. Jace also has a strength
that Colt wishes he had. But, Colt’s father dictates his life and his choices.
That means that coming out is not going to happen any time soon. That doesn’t
stop Colt from confessing how he feels and that he wants to give a relationship
a shot but they can’t be a couple in public yet. However, once he’s picked for
the draft he thinks things will get easier for them. He couldn’t be more wrong.
Colt is made to do the last thing he wants to do, in order
for Jace’s life not be threatened. My heart actually ached for Jace during
this! Colt’s team mates were so cruel to Jace and Colt did nothing but stare at
the floor. Of course, Jace had no idea why this was happening. All he knew was
that he wasn’t wanted there and had to get out. This is when I wish I was a bad
@ss chick and could drop kick those football players. OK, I’m getting carried
away.
So, I’m turning the page and the next thing I know over nine
years have passed! NINE YEARS!! That made my heart break all over again! Colt
is miserable. He is about to be married to a shady little b!tch and he doesn’t
have a clue how he’s going to get out of it. Jace has built a very successful
business but inside he is miserable. He never lets it show though. So what’s it
going to take for things to be right again? Personally, I’d like to take some
brass knuckles to Colt’s father. That would be a great start but, that’s just
me.
I’m going to stop here and just let you know that if you
like to read m/m stories, this is the one for you! I thought it was fantastic
from beginning to end. So many ups and downs and I cannot wait to see what
Kindle Alexander comes up with next. This is the first book that I read of hers
and I’ve already added others to my TBR. Double Full is 5 out of 5 stars for
me.
