 Book Description
Life doesn't look like it's supposed to for Daniela, aka Dani. After a painful break-up with Rick, Dani decides she doesn't want to deal with the hassles of relationship.

After almost two years, Dani's friends stage an intervention, forcing her out of her holding pattern and back into the real world of dating.

Liam, a down to earth firefighter, may be just the person to show her she’s still worth something. Their chemistry is instant and electric. But will Dani be able to trust her patched-up heart with him?

And what will happen when Rick decides he’ll go to any lengths to get her back?

Jenn's Review
Dani doesn’t go anywhere without her kindle. Hmmm, sounds like someone I know! The books she reads takes her to another place; where she can focus on the problems of others. The reason is Rick, her ex. They were living together and happy, or that’s what she thought. The sex was great. More than great actually, but apparently when one finds that he doesn’t want to be in a relationship any longer, even better than great sex won’t keep him.
“Fuck you, Rick,” I said, devastated and seething with anger. “Fuck you. I’m taking all my stuff now. You’ll look back on this day with regret, I promise you. I was the best thing that ever happened to you.”
You go girl! I remember my satisfaction when I said that same thing. Anyway, we fast forward two years and Dani is waiting on her friends, Candace and Macy, for brunch. When they arrive, Dani has her head stuck in her kindle and they decide to take matters into their own hands. It’s not very pretty either. Voices are raised, Candace and Macy keep asking her about the last time she had sex and finally admits it hasn’t been since Rick. They decide they will help her rectify that situation ASAP. She’s practically a virgin again!! Fortunately for Dani, she has to take a CPR class and needs to leave.
Dani is sitting in class, reading on her kindle and in walks Liam. The only thing she notices is that he is not the older instructor she was expecting. Liam immediately notices Dani and sees her reading. Quietly he leans into her ear and whispers, “I’m a jealous fool and I don’t share. Mind putting it away?” All she can do is stare and for the first time in a long time, she is turned on. And, from only a few seconds of being close to him! Liam gets his chance to talk to her after class but before he can get her number, she leaves! But, as fate would have it, they run into each other later that night. What Dani doesn’t know is that Rick was also there. He also saw the way Liam was looking at her and he didn’t like it one bit. He decides pretty quickly that Dani was right. He does regret letting her go and he was going to do whatever it took to get her back.
What he didn’t take into account was the fact that Liam was a flat out good guy. He’s attentive, sweet, caring and so sexy that he gets Dani’s blood boiling! Rick thinks he’s invincible though and along with his new friend Madison, a plan is formed. He will show Dani he has changed and is a better person. He doesn’t think of only himself anymore. Yeah, right. She isn’t going to fall for the charade. Or, is she?
The heat factor in this book is SCORCHING! I’d be saying Rick who? But that doesn’t exactly happen. Trust and hearts are broken. Can it be repaired? I recommend The Do Over if you want a fabulous story of second chances at finding love.
