Wild (as
he’s called round town) is a good old boy.
He’s been beat up by life and betrayed by two people that were very
close to him. He’s gorgeous and content
with getting what he wants, whenever he wants it from women and then going
about his merry way.
Kat is a
running from her past and she’s running scared.
She meets Wild and all her carefully plotted notions go flying out the
window. He’s way too cocky for his own
good but every single time he touches her she melts like butter in a hot
pan. These two people who say they want
no commitments and no entanglements can’t seem to stay away from each
other. Little by little barriers are
broken. The past collides with the
present and they both learn more about each other than they thought would
matter. Cause all of a sudden everything
matters. All of a sudden feelings are
deeper than they realized. All of a
sudden maybe being casual is not what they want anymore.
I liked
Wild. Yes he was cocky but he was sweet
about it too. As far as Kat is concerned
– I do think she protests too much. The
interaction was fun. There was a little
light ménage thrown in to make it spicier which I appreciated. However, I kept wondering what is the big
secret? Who is Kat running from? And Why?
All of a sudden, Kat is gone. She
is missing along with all of her belongings.
Did she leave? Did she run from
Wild or is something more sinister at work here?
When we
finally get the full story – I felt like we didn’t get enough of it. I wanted more details about where Kat was and
what was happening to her. Lately, I
find that “endings” are being wrapped up all of a sudden or too quickly for my
taste. Build up is cool but please
deliver on the back end. The epilogue
made up for it though. It was romantic,
it was sweet and left me with a smile on my face. What else can a girl want? Right?!
Having said all that – Wild – was
entertaining. I liked it a lot. It was solid and I definitely would read the
next thing that Adriane Leigh writes.

Adriane Leigh was born and raised in a snowbank in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and now lives amongst the sand dunes of the Lake Michigan lakeshore.
She graduated with a Literature degree but never particularly enjoyed reading Shakespeare or Chaucer.
Adriane is married to a tall, dark and handsome guy, plays mama to two sweet baby girls, and is a voracious reader and knitter.
