Synopsis
Lies. Heartbreak. Betrayal. No one knew the devastation of those three words more than Faith Winston and five years ago, she endured every one of them. All she wanted was to feel safe and marry the very man who promised to love her and protect her, Ryker Knight. But growing up in the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, she should have known she couldn’t have a happy ending. Instead, her world became a nightmare. The bikers—her family—abandoned her, leaving her to crash without their safety net.

Ryker Knight has spent the last five years consumed with guilt, running from the ghosts that haunt him. That is until his past catches up with him the moment his brother needs his help. Returning home to Jasper Bay, he’s forced to face the same ghosts he was running from. Only to find that the woman he loved is trapped in a hell of her own, entrenched behind enemy lines —and it’s all his fault. And even though Ryker’s life comes with priorities that he can’t – and won’t - turn his back on, he refuses to leave Jasper Bay until he’s found Faith. But will she want to return to the life she’s always wanted even if Ryker is no longer capable of giving her what he once promised?

Jennifer's Review

We learned in Point of Return that Ryker and Faith had a history together. We now know what happened between them, why Cain has her and why Cain kept Faith's mom hooked on drugs.

Faiths's mother may have given birth to her but she was NEVER her mom. And five years ago, Ryker just leaves one night without a word. It was the same night that Faith's life changes and it's certainly not for the better. So because of her being abandoned by the two people that she should've been able to depend on, Faith lives in brutal misery for those five years.

I have to say that she is one heck of a female lead character. Just the hope of her mother, maybe, coming to her senses and see the error of her ways, keeps her going day to day. Faith wants mommy dearest to even acknowledge what she does for her. If she doesn't do the things she does, the drugs would go away. She's wasting away before Faith's eyes everyday.

Now Ryker. Ohmygawd, I loved him from the get go! He's lived with a lot of guilt. Choices he's made has caused lots of damage, even though he isn't completely at fault. And he made a promise to a friend that he doesn't want to break. However, all that changes when he finds out what really happened to Faith the night he left town. Now he has to figure out how to repair all the damage that's been done.

There is obviously lots to happen in this book. And only a couple places I felt slowed down the action. But, once I reached a certain point in the book, I had a very hard time putting it down! Some parts are brutal, and others are so beautiful that I wasn't for the chapter to end. Like book one, we get both POV's and I was glad to be in their heads. I am already looking forward to the next in the series. The ending left me quite curious of what's to come. When it's all said and done, I'm giving Point of Redemption 4.5 stars!

Synopsis
Deceit. Destruction. Death. Olivia Masters grew up familiar with all of them. The daughter of the President of the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, Olivia always knew she wanted nothing to do with any of it. Her plans were made to leave the town she grew up in as soon as she and her boyfriend, Daemon Knight, turned eighteen. But then Olivia was shot. Her mother killed in front of her. Fleeing became her reality. Forced to return to her hometown of Jasper Bay five years later, events beyond Olivia’s control put her directly back into the life she swore she’d never return to. Her dad wants her back in the family. Daemon wants her in his bed. But just as Olivia begins to accept her destiny, history finds a way to repeat itself. This time, will Olivia be strong enough to fight for the family she once turned her back on? Or will she once again flee from the only life that has ever felt like home?

Deleted Scene
“Good evening, Olivia, I’m Doc.” He was older, maybe in his fifties like my dad. But his eyes held a tenderness even though I knew he held a bucket of secrets in them at what he had seen. If he was a doctor for The Black Death, there was no way of telling the things he knew. His graying hair was pulled back into a low ponytail at the base of his neck and I saw a variation of a club’s tattoo on his neck. The letters “BD” prominently displayed with an arrow woven through them. He wasn’t just a doctor. He was a member. “It’s nice to finally meet you. Heard a lot about the Prez’s daughter over the years.”
My shoulders tightened at hearing about my dad. I said nothing as I watched him carefully.
Beneath me, Daemon’s arm tightened and then let me go. “He has to check you out, Liv.”
I bristled at the nickname only he had ever been allowed to call me. Liv. Live. The one thing I had never truly done.
I nodded and shifted on the bed as the covers were moved and then adjusted over my lap. I closed my eyes but gripped Daemon’s hand with mine.
My head turned to the side, away from both of them as the pain caused tears to flow down my cheeks again. At least I didn’t throw up again.
A few minutes later, the blankets shifted again and the weight on the bed told me Doc was done. His warm hand rested on my thigh and I turned my eyes back to him.
“You’re a brave girl. I can’t see anything that’s wrong, but I’m going to give you a shot of Pitocin. It will make your muscles contract and stop the hemorrhaging.”
“No shots.” I hated the idea. I hated needles. Ironic that I worked in a tattoo parlor, I knew that.
He just nodded and Daemon’s hand gripped mine tighter. “It will only hurt for a second.”
And then a searing pain shot through my thigh. It happened right after the warning and I wasn’t given the time to prepare. I also wasn’t given the time to tense up.
“Ahhhh!” I cried out in pain and squeezed Daemon’s hand so tightly I was certain I could break his bones. He said nothing, but I noticed he was grinding his teeth together. And then the pain and the needle were both gone.
Doc gazed at me with sorrowful eyes. “Sometimes it helps to not know exactly what’s coming. Sorry for scaring you.”
I shook my head and squeezed my eyes shut to prevent more tears from falling. I had cried enough in the last ten hours to last a lifetime. Probably more than I’d cried in my lifetime.
“You shouldn’t be alone for the next twelve hours at least.”
“I’ll stay with her.”
I glared at Daemon. Maybe I was thankful he came to help, but I resented him so easily ingratiating himself into my life. “No. You won’t.” I turned to Doc. “I’ll be fine.”
He wrote his cell number on a card and dropped it in my lap. “Call me if you need me.” He nodded at Daemon and then he was gone as quietly as he came.
“Your dad will put me to ground if I don’t stay. I’m not leaving you alone again.” He shoved his hands through his hair, dislodging his ponytail. I watched his hair fall and frame his face, almost brushing my forehead he stared at me so closely. “Shit. I never should have left before. I knew that prick wouldn’t take care of you the right way.”
I sat up and pushed him away. I ignored the pain in my abdomen and the dull ache in my thigh from the needle. “Shut up. You don’t get to say that shit about Travis. He’s always been there for me.” Like you weren’t. I let the last of my thought linger silently between us.
A muscle in his jaw clenched. “You don’t know shit about what happened. And I’m not leaving until I know you’re okay.”
“Of course,” I replied smugly. “Heaven forbid the son my dad never had walk away from the daughter he never wanted.”
His lips pressed into a line so thin they disappeared. I watched his chest heaving deep breaths. He exhaled forcefully, and I smelled his breathe. Booze and smoke mixed with….sex.
I gagged. “Get your pussy breath away from me.”
“Jealous?” An eyebrow rose.
Absolutely not. The lie twisted in my stomach. I knew the familiar fire in me that once told me he belonged to me and only me and I’d kick any girl’s ass who looked at him the wrong way. Growing up in the Black Death, everyone learned to fight; even the girls. “Disgusted,” I sneered and rolled away from him. “There’s an extra tooth brush in the bathroom cupboard. Use it and you can sleep on the couch.”
“I’ll use the brush,” he spoke softly and rose from the bed. “But I’m not sleeping on that couch.”
“Then go home.”
“Liv,” he scolded in that demanding and confident voice he hadn’t possessed when we were younger. I turned my head slowly, unable to ignore him. “I’m not leaving. I’m going to brush my teeth, climb into your bed, and take care of you the way a man should. Just because you’ve been with that prick for so long, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know what it’s like to have a real man around.”
“And you’re going to teach me, I take it.”
“I’ll teach you everything you want to know.” He smiled seductively.
“Fuck off.”
“We can do that, too,” he muttered under his breath as he walked toward the bathroom.
I ignored it.
I also ignored him when he climbed back into my bed in only his boxer briefs and pulled me to his chest.
Then I ignored the way my heart skipped a beat at the feel of his arms wrapped around me and his warm, fresh minty breath on my neck, and the way the scruff of his cheek tickled my sensitive neck skin.
I hated him. I hated his life and everything he stood for. I hated the way he left me, feeling used and tossed aside for the promises made by my lying asshole of my father.
Mostly, I hated that my heart clearly didn’t think the same things as my head. Wrapped in Daemon’s arms felt too comfortable, too much like the safety of home I hadn’t had in years.
So I ignored all that too and closed my eyes.

 Jenn's Review

The prodigal daughter has returned home and has done her best to have a normal life. With a normal boyfriend. But, the princess of the Nordic Lords MC can’t do that. It takes a little while before she figures out that a normal life is not in the cards for her anyway.

Olivia knows loss and did her best to get away. Well, now that she’s back, she is also learning how live. Really live and move on from the past. But, good grief! That girl remains on the receiving end of pain. Literally and figuratively. Olivia is one tough cookie and she better be. With everything falling apart around her, she has to learn to trust Daemon again. That won’t be easy. She lost him once already. Who’s to say it won’t happen again.

OK, I inhaled this book and barely came up for air! I love a good MC book and Point of Return has it all, in my opinion! The pain, grit and blood. Not to mention the suspense, action and secrets. Lots of secrets. I may have shed a tear or two, as well. Olivia proves how strong of a woman she is throughout the entire book.  I absolutely cannot wait for book 2! I need to see what happens to the people I met!!

Point of Return is 5 stars for me. Even if I had wanted to take a break reading, it wouldn’t let me! Once I started reading, I was sucked right in and just had to hold on for the ride.

“C’mon, Liv,” I said, walking to her and standing right in between her legs. I looked down at her in amusement. She was almost right where I wanted her. “You’re too jaded for the straight life.”
I nudged the inside of her knee open a little wider with mine. She sat straight up and glared at me, but the heat was missing in her eyes.
“Well, whose fault is that?”
I wanted to ram my head into a wall. I was not having this same conversation again. “Already told you I wouldn’t change a thing about what I did, Liv. You might as well get over it now.”
“What if I can’t?”
I grinned and leaned over her so far she fell straight back onto my bed. Her hair fell from the ugly ass bird’s nest into a pile on my messy sheets. Best sight ever. “Can’t or won’t?”
She smirked and I leaned closer, my lips just inches from hers.
“You will. Because right now, Liv, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. And you’ve always known it. Now, you’re just done fightin’ it. And God, I want you here.”
My lips brushed against hers and she sucked in a quick breath. I wanted to push it but didn’t want to push her away. Not when I finally had her right where I wanted her. My hands on either side of her head, my body leaning over hers. All I’d have to do is crawl onto the bed, bend my knees and I could enter nirvana in seconds. I knew by her pulse and her breathing she was turned on.
She wanted me just as much as I wanted her. I could feel it seeping from her skin directly into mine. I flicked my tongue out, tasting her soft lips and when she moaned, I pressed against her further. My resolve to stay away completely flying out the damn window.
But then she stopped me. I felt her lips curl into a smile against mine, and I opened my eyes, staring directly into hers.
“What?”
“I pulled a gun on Finn today. And my dad.”
My head dropped to her neck as the laughter poured out of me. She really was coming back. I loved it. Fucking loved her own personal brand of craziness. The girl who wouldn’t kill a spider but had no problems pulling a gun on two men that scared the shit out of almost everyone they met. She had guts. “You’re fuckin’ crazy, princess.”

Synopsis
My life was perfectly mapped out for me since before the day I was born. I followed it, begrudgingly, because it’s what was expected. And then one day, everything changed. I woke up. Different. Independent. Free from all the rules that had surrounded me. Only I have no idea how I got to where I am. I have no memory of graduating college. No memory of Adam, the boyfriend I live with. He loves me. And I love him. At least that’s what everyone says. Except when my memories return to me as dreams, I see a different man than the one everyone claims is perfect for me. He terrifies me. He makes my heart race and he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before. I have no idea if I want to welcome the emotional roller-coaster that his piercing brown eyes and messy black hair puts me on every time I get a glimpse of him, or if I want to run back to the safe shelter of the scripted life-plan that used to be mine.

Excerpt
My booted cast scrapes across the pavement. My ankle hurts and my arm is itchy from my cast. The staples in the back of my head were removed last week. Now all I have is a square patch of hair that is just beginning to grow back. I have a gash on my right side that runs from my hip bone almost to my breast. It looks like someone tried to slash me open with a jagged edged knife. The skin is healing, the stitches are innumerable, and every time I turn my torso it feels like someone is trying to rip my kidney out with their bare hands. There was a hiking accident. That’s all I know. The rest is being left up to my memory that my doctors have assured me will return. How in the hell do they know? What if I never remember? It’s been weeks since I woke up from my coma and I don’t remember anything more than the fact that I live with a stranger and I don’t like him when I dream. I’m still resting against the side of Adam’s car, fingering the back of my scalp when he comes outside. He stands next to me, crossing his feet at the ankles. We don’t touch. That small whisper of a touch he gave me in the doorway is the first time his hands have touched me since I the day I tripped in our kitchen. His arms reached out and caught me and I froze, paralyzed by having his hands on me. He shook his head, sighed, grabbed his keys and left the apartment and didn’t come back for two hours. When he did, the scent of beer laced his breath. “I’m sorry I keep getting frustrated with you, Ames.” His head falls and he runs a hand down the front of his face. “I just miss you.” His voice trembles a little bit and he sounds sad. He looks sad. I wonder what it would feel like to see him smile again like he did the night in my dream. Until the blonde girl, Tina, jumped into his arms he seemed happy to see me. Was he? Was I a game? If so, why am I still here? I press my fingers to my temples, hoping to stave off the beginning thumps of another headache. “Who’s Tina?”

“Chase?” Her quiet voice sounds a little bit dry and really tired.
I slowly flick my tongue out and lick her neck and trail soft kisses down to her collarbone. My hand on her hip squeezes slightly, pulling her back into me so she can feel how much I want her.
Damn it, I just want her. All of her.
“What is it, babe?” I whisper into her throat when I realize she’s smiling a little bit and not moving away from me at all. In fact, I think she may have just relaxed into me a little bit more. “What do you need?”
I pull away from her slightly so I can look into her sleepy blue eyes. Her hair is a little messed up and her eyes are barely open, but I can still see that she wants me. Please, I plead with my eyes, don’t tell me you need a glass of water. Don’t tell me you want me to get the hell out of here.
But she doesn’t say any of those things. She just smiles and quietly, so quietly I almost ask her to repeat herself she simply says, “You.”
It’s all I need to hear. If she wants me, I’ll give her all of me. Every last piece of my body, my heart, and my soul. Anything she wants of mine is hers, I just don’t want her to fucking stomp all over it and give back pieces of me, leftover and broken, when she’s through with me.
With a devilish grin, I adjust her so she’s lying below me. “I’m all yours, babe.”
