***Choices by Sydney Lane Blog Tour Stop and Giveaway***

Blurb:
Fate brought her here, but will her choices destroy her dreams?

Quincy Priest made all the right choices in her small town, black-and-white life. But being perfect is tiring. So. Very. Tiring.

Wanting desperately to step out of her sister's shadow, Quincy jumps at the opportunity to attend college with her best friend. The quiet bookworm with family secrets comes out of her shell. But when Quincy meets not one, but two perfect guys, she has to make a choice. In doing so, she might forfeit the relationship she secretly longed to find.

Declan. Sweet, handsome, and perfect. He makes her feel cherished for the first time in her life.

Brody. Sexy, hot, and irresistible. He could tear down her carefully built walls.

Before she can become the woman she wants to be, Quincy will make mistakes. And suffer one unimaginable loss.

Excerpt:
“I could stay here forever if you always looked at me just like that.” I don’t understand what he means, but I can’t take my eyes off him. “Everything.” His voice deepens while he looks into my eyes. “I like everything about you, Quince. I like the way those little wisps of hair frame your face. I love your eyes, so deep I get lost i...n them. Those lips I can’t resist. But I like you, Quince. The first time I saw you, I was drawn to you. I knew right then that you would turn my world upside down. It scared the hell out of me, but I knew I’d follow you anywhere.” He just made me feel beautiful, really beautiful, for the first time in my life.
There are no words for that. Instead, I wrap my arms around his neck and roughly kiss him. I twist my fingers in his hair and wonder why I haven’t done that before. Besides his eyes, his hair is the sexiest thing about him. But it’s what he hides on the inside that I so desperately want to see.

Jenn's Review:
I was both nervous and excited to read Choices. Excited because I love when I get to read from a new author. I knew I was going to like the story from just reading the teasers. But I was oh so nervous because this involved a love triangle and they tear me up! I know someone is going to get hurt but I’m afraid it’s going to be the one I really like! I know I can’t always get my way. But, I’m certainly glad I did this time! ;-)
I started the book and I didn’t stop until I was done. For this being Sydney’s first book, I thought she did an incredible job! I could feel the excitement, nervousness and even the pain from the characters. That is a big deal for me. Because for just a little while, I am in the story. And I love it when the book can play out like a movie.
Declan and Brody, both, take a liking to Quince almost immediately after meeting her for the first time. She was a natural beauty that didn’t know how beautiful she was. She’s unsure of herself, a little shy and didn’t mind to stay in her best friend Jenna’s shadow. Jenna is great. They are there for each other and are protective of each other. Jenna helps Quince come out of her shell. For years, Quince did everything she was supposed to do. Followed the rules, made straight A’s and never got into trouble. That’s because her sister, Katie, has bipolar disorder and when she was younger she was always in trouble. It didn’t make things easy for Quince but she did the best she could.
Declan and Quince get along seamlessly. They talk about anything and everything. He’s caring, funny and is crazy about her. Brody wants Quince and he lets it be known but he isn’t going to share and he also doesn’t want to hurt Declan. Being in the same fraternity and friends for a long time, he can’t hurt his “brother.”
Quince has a choice to make and it is not easy on her. Both men bring out different parts of her but she knows who she ultimately wants to be with. She just doesn’t want to break the heart of the other. When the ultimate tragedy hits her family and she suffers a huge loss she decides to go home and not return to school after the semester ends. She works to get herself back together and once it’s time to return to school, she’s ready to face the choices she left behind.
I really enjoyed Choices. I went through almost every emotion and was crying at the end. It does end in an HEA and I was very thankful for that!! I hope you like it as much as I did.

***Sandy's Review of Choices by Sydney Lane***

“I know enough to know that I’d like to kiss you right now.  To know that if I do, it won’t be nearly enough.” – Brody
“My body is naked, but I feel completely bared to him.  Today, I am exposing more than my skin.” – Quincy

Sandy's Review:

Quincy Priest is a virgin experiencing college life and she has a problem – a man problem. Well actually it’s a two gorgeous men kind of problem. Some of you might say, what’s the problem?  I should be so lucky.  Declan is a PK (Preacher’s Kid), he’s also sweet, kind, loving and has a heart of gold to go along with his  dimples. Brody is also gorgeous but he doesn’t do relationships. He’s the one that makes her lose her breath, the one that with a look can set her body on fire. In other words her Declan is safe and Brody is heartbreak on a stick. To complicate matters further Declan and Brody are fraternity brothers and best friends. What’s a girl to do? How can she choose?

Quincy has a best friend/roommate who is like a sister to her named Jenna.  I say like a sister because Quincy has an actual sister named Katie.  Unfortunately, Katie has severe bi-polar disorder and though her family loves her dearly – she is a ticking time bomb. You can feel the underlying tick tock tick tock through the story.
I loved the way Sydney Lane describes the feelings going on between the characters. It’s poetic and appealed to that girly romantic part of me. I also liked the way that Declan and Brody are honest about who they are to Quincy. Declan is selfless and wants the best for Quincy.  Brody admits that he is too selfish to let Quincy go. Choices is about love, it is about betrayal, it is about a young woman trying to find her way in the world. Though I will say that the story seemed like it should have been a little longer.  Ultimately, a choice is made and we get an HEA. You guys know me – I gotta have the smexy, the angst and the HEA.  Choices delivered on all three.

Teaser:

When I turn to say goodbye, Brody is close to me. He puts his hands on my waist and walks me backward, pushing me against my car. His lips whisper across mine. “Quince, I meant what I said. I don’t share. I don’t know what’s going on with you and Declan, but when he looks at you, I can see his feelings written all over his face. Seeing him looking at you like that is driving me insane. If I didn’t love him so damn much, I would kick his ass.” His body is tense, and his eyes pierce right through me. “He’s my brother, Quince.” He takes a deep breath and backs away.
