Jane Black has written the breakup album of the century, earning her a Grammy, a huge legion of new fans, and the pressure to repeat her success. Sure, the heartbreak from her husband’s unconventional abandonment might have been her inspiration, but it hasn’t done her any favors in the dating department. So when Matthew Harrigan, the toughest music journalist out there, asks for an interview, Jane agrees—as long as her personal life is completely off-limits.
British, gorgeous, and way too tempting, Matthew’s the first guy Jane’s been attracted to since her husband. As she spends more time with him and their relationship heats up, though, so does her writer’s block. How can the queen of the break up pen the perfect follow-up when she’s seriously in love?

Sandy B's Review
Jane Black’s husband has come to the
realization that he’s gay! He drops this bomb and then walks out on her and
their son. This life altering event
gives Jane exactly what she needs to do an Adele. Her 4th album turns out to be the
charm – a runaway hit – full of songs of heartache, broken dreams and her
angst. This is what brings Matthew
Harrigan into her orbit. He’s a reporter
and Jane is the hottest thing to hit the music scene. The newly minted Grammy Award winner is
feeling the pressure to deliver the next big hit. Matthew is English, handsome, charming and
will have you looking at peaches in a whole new different way.
I confess that I own and have
enjoyed all of Lauren Blakely’s books.
They are enjoyable reads that are smexy, angsty, funny and hot without
walking on the dark side. This week it
was exactly what I needed.
Without giving anything away, I will
say that in my eyes, Far too Tempting is not just the story of a man and a
woman trying everything they can do deny the fireworks going off between
them. It’s about letting go of the past
and moving forward. It’s about the love
of friends and family. It’s about
digging deep, even though it might hurt, to discover that you are stronger than
you thought you were. It’s about
realizing that your biggest tragedy can turn out to be your greatest
blessing. It’s about all those things
tied up in a sexy awesome big fat bow.
Jane is spirited and just adorable.
Matthew is totally swoon worthy.
If you haven’t read anything by Lauren Blakely before – please give this
one a try. I think you’re gonna like it!
