Jenn's Review
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed Undescribable! I do like the bad boy
and good girl stories. I love watching the guy redeem himself while he fights
off the past he wants to forget but they don’t want to be forgotten!
Slade decides he wants to protect Samantha before he’s even
met her. Their first phone conversation has him not wanting to hurt Samantha
but has to lie to her for that to happen. Samantha’s boyfriend, Jax, is at
Slade’s house, in bed with another woman. The last thing Slade wants to deal
with is somebody else’s mess and unlucky for him, he’s right in the middle of
it.
Samantha moved with Jax after finishing school. She thought
he was it for her. Glad she found out now and not after wasting money on a
wedding that wouldn’t last! Anyway, while she is moving her stuff out, Jax’s
true colors come out and she ends up in the hospital. It takes her a couple
weeks for her to feel back to normal and Samantha’s best friend Holly decides
it’s time for her to get out of the house and have a night out. While in the restroom
she runs into a couple about to hook up but for some reason she can’t take her
eyes off the guy. The fun part happens outside the restroom when she figures
out who he is and he has no idea who she it. All he knows is that she looks and
sounds like an angel and he wants her in the worst way. All she wants is to get
away from him. She knows he’s already lied to her and they hadn’t even met!
Slade has a pretty hard time getting Samantha to soften up
to him and I loved it. She kept her walls up but he is doing his best to break
them down. When that finally happens things explode! Samantha is under his skin
and this has NEVER happened to him before. He has no clue what he’s doing and
sometimes it’s pretty apparent. These lead to arguments which lead to him
having to be sweet and beg forgiveness. Samantha, at times, remains closed off.
She’s scared of being hurt again and she’s heard it all before. Slade is doing
his best at taking things slow for her, to show her he is serious about her.
There back and forth was fun to read. He’d piss her off
acting like a caveman and she’d piss him off by not allowing him to take care
of her the way he feel that he should. But Sam has always been independent.
Even with Jax she still took care of herself. Things from her past made her
this way. What happens when she gives all she has to Slade and he leaves her.
She’ll be left with nothing.
Join the extremely sexy and emotional ride that is Samantha
and Slade. Watch this couple go through many obstacles and fight their way to
the other side. I enjoyed this steamy story and look forward to seeing what
Shantel Tessier has up her sleeve next. 4/5 stars
