***Jenn's Review of Birthday Wishes by Braxton Cole***

Blurb
Mari meets Luca on an adult website. She’s still smarting from a divorce and only looking to explore her desires. They create wish lists of their sexual fantasies and agree to work through them together. No strings, no attachments, nothing but pleasure, and Mari anticipates their first meeting with impatience. But through a miscommunication involving a private text message and Mari’s nosy brother, Luca ends up at her 30th birthday party, before their planned rendezvous. Much to her surprise, they seem to connect better than she expected, and in ways she hadn’t expected. He’s strong, commanding, but also gentle and respectful and he makes her ache in ways she never thought possible.

But when Luca later expresses a desire for something more than just casual sex, Mari's impulse is to run the other way. After all, her failed marriage is evidence that she really shouldn’t go much deeper. Can Luca convince Mari otherwise? Can he help her see that he's her ultimate birthday wish come true?

Birthday Wishes is Book 1 in The List Series is intended for an adult audience only and contains mature themes, including graphic and explicit sex.

Jenn's Review
Holy hotness Batman! Luca and Mari meet online and Mari decides she wants to work through a list. It’s a list of fantasies and it’s downright hot! The agreement is, they meet on the weekends, no strings attached. But when sex is involved, feelings come into play too.
They have a fantastic time together but Mari is hesitant to let feelings get in the way because of the divorce she went through. Feelings disappear, go away. And, where does that leave you? Alone and broken hearted. That’s why she doesn’t want to get too close to Luca. But he is just so hard to resist! He works at breaking down her walls but she still fears the worst.
The HEAT factor in this little story is off the charts. Luca takes control of her body but is still so caring and nurturing when not in the bedroom. He wants to take care of Mari, to give her everything she wants and needs. And Mari is beginning to regret her decision of only seeing Luca on the weekends! I have to say I am Team Luca all the way. How liberating it would be to find that someone with the same fantasies and kinks as you?
I really enjoyed this scorcher of a story and look forward to seeing what happens to Luca and Mari. I give Birthday Wishes (The List – Book 1) 4/5 stars.

***Sandy's Review of Unbreak Me by Lexi Ryan***

“For a woman who claims to be an open book, you hide so much.” He runs his thumb down the side of my neck, over the hollow in my collarbone. “Next time you strip for me, you’re taking off more than your clothes.” – Asher Logan
“Once I believed myself incapable of loving.  I thought it my sacrifice, the payment for my sins. But I feel it inside me–transformation. Something that was once so hard bending into something pliable.  – Maggie Thompson
BLURB
“If you’re broken, I’ll fix you…”
I’m only twenty-one and already damaged goods. A slut. A failure. A disappointment to my picture-perfect family as long as I can remember. I called off my wedding to William Bailey, the only man who thought I was worth fixing. A year later, he’s marrying my sister. Unless I ask him not to…
“If you shatter, I’ll find you…”
But now there’s Asher Logan, a broken man who sees the fractures in my façade and doesn’t want to fix me at all. Asher wants me to stop hiding, to stop pretending. Asher wants to break down my walls. But that means letting him see my ugly secrets and forgiving him for his.

With my past weighing down on me, do I want the man who holds me together or the man who gives me permission to break?
Sandy B’s Review
“Small time slut with too much baggage” that’s the way that Maggie describes herself. This girl is keeping secrets, big ones.  She’s not your doe eyed innocent virgin and I LOVE THAT about her. She comes back home to start all over – Project New Me. Unfortunately, not everyone in this small town is willing to let her live down her past. This includes her judgmental mother.  She left her fiancé, the good and virtuous Will Bailey, practically at the altar.  No worries – her sister, Krystal was there to pick up the pieces and comfort him.  Almost one year to the date, she’s back at the altar with Will except this time she isn’t the bride. Will is marrying Krystal.  When I read that – I was like – EXCUSE ME!  Yuck! Then how dare she?!  How dare he?!  Then her stick up the butt Mother was okay with this sh*t?!

Okay – sorry.  Back to my review.  Much to everyone’s disgust, during the wedding “someone” releases a stink bomb.  Yes, you read correctly – a stink bomb – which sends everyone running for the door before the couple is officially married.  THAT boys and girls is where it all goes to hell in a hand basket.
To get away from her family, Maggie sneaks over the fence of the rich dude next door, who owns the big house with the gorgeous pool because he’s never home.  Except the rich dude is home and she’s busted swimming in his pool.  Enter Asher Logan! Not only is he a gorgeous, hot, rich dude, he’s also a famous retired rock star.  Maggie offers herself on a silver platter.  He wants to get to know her better and refuses.  Maggie is so taken aback that it’s funny.
What happens next?  Watching Will and Krystal’s new life unfold makes Maggie feels cheated out of what should have been hers.  Krystal is insecure and unsure of Will’s love.  Will as it turns out may not be over Maggie after all.  Oh but wait – there’s more.  Remember those secret that I mentioned earlier – it’s a doozy.  There are even a few twists thrown in by Will and Asher.  Ooooh it was good. I liked Maggie with all her flaws.  I liked that maybe Will isn’t such a goody goody after all.  I liked that Asher saw beyond Maggie’s past because he has one too.  I liked it! I really really liked it (a la Sally Field at the Academy Awards).
This was my first Lexi Ryan book but it will not be my last.  She brought the heartache, the angst and the sexy just the way I like it.  Do we get an HEA?  You’ll have to wait until almost the end of Unbreak Me to find out.  I’m not telling but I will say it was a sweet ride.

About the author- Lexi Ryan

Like most authors, I feel a little silly writing these. My life is one I love and there's not much I'd change about it, but it's not terribly exciting.
I live in mid-western Indiana, where I spend my days teaching English at a local college. In the evenings, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids--a five-year-old boy and a nearly-two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I'm feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I'm really, really slow) or do yoga. Don't worry, I'm always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini. I love hearing from readers, so I hope you'll drop me a note.

***My Unexpected Forever by Heidi McLaughlin Teaser***

I turn off the water and pull the shower curtain back. I step out onto Quinn’s white mat that turns red when it’s wet. It makes it look like you’re bleeding. He likes it. Thinks it’s funny to scare people with. I put my towel over my head and rub my hands back and forth to dry my hair.
When the door swings open, I peek through the small opening of my towel. Katelyn is staring back at me, her mouth dropping open as her eyes travel down my very wet and naked body.
“Oh fuck,” she says covering her mouth, but not her eyes. She’s totally checking me out and I’d be an idiot to say it’s not turning me on. I take my time as I step into my sweatpants that no longer tie and hang low on my waist. Yeah, I know what I’m doing. It’s time to play dirty.
“Um…” I start laughing.
“I’m sorry…” Katelyn shakes her head, breaking eye contact with me. “I spilled my coffee and Quinn said you were in the shower-- ”
“So you just had to come in and see for yourself?”
“No… um… the uh… upstairs.”
I step forward, pulling her slightly so I can shut the door and lock it. I turn up the volume on my mp3 player so the kids can’t hear us talk. “My shower is being remodeled so I had to use Quinn’s.”
“Makes sense.”
“Why didn’t you run out of here when you saw me?” I ask just loud enough for her to hear me.

“I don’t know,” she whispers, her eyes penetrating into mine. I can’t take it anymore. I lean back against the counter and pull her between my legs.

***Jenn's Review of A Night to Forget by Jessica Wood and Giveaway***

Blurb:
A Night to Forget is the first book in the two-book series, Emma's Story. The second book in this series, The Day to Remember is scheduled to be released in August 2013.

What happens in Cancun doesn’t always stay in Cancun.

When Emma Anderson and her friends decided to spend their senior year Spring Break in Cancun, she expected some crazy memories to end their final college days. What Emma didn’t expect was to meet Brandon Fisher. Tall and sexy, with dimples that would make any girl swoon, Brandon Fisher was literally the man of Emma’s dreams. She couldn't quite believe that this stranger, who seduced her every night in her dreams, actually existed.

After serendipitously bumping into each other, Emma could not resist Brandon’s pull and spent an unforgettable night with him. Passing it off as a spring break fling, Emma never expected to see Brandon again. But when she started her first day at her new job a few months later, there he was. The only problem was, Brandon didn’t even remember her.

Jenn's Review:
An ARC was provided for an honest review.
Emma has been dreaming of the same man for the past few months. She’s never seen him but knows she wants him. However, she’s been dating Mike for a long time and it hasn’t felt right to give her virginity to him. He’s finally had enough of that and ends things with Emma right before her Spring Break trip to Cancun. What better way to spend a week in Cancun? Single with your best friends!!
Emma’s friend, Jill, has kept them busy everyday and they are finally relaxing on the beach. And while standing on the beach she actually sees the guy she’s been dreaming about! She knows it’s him, she’s seen him nightly for months now! Having to look away from him then turning back, he’s gone. Her friends love the idea that she should find him and sleep with him. It’s meant to be! A couple nights later, after she missed the boat for a booze cruise, she’s well past drunk at the bar and HE comes over to talk to her! He wants to keep her company since he was the consultant for the cruise she missed. Offering more drinks, he asks if she’s like to go watch the sunset at his favorite place on the beach. Once there and talking, she decides the universe did make this happen and she wanted him, badly. Her dream is actually going to come true!
She wakes up the next morning in his bed and it’s almost time for her to leave for the airport! Trying to wake him up doesn’t work, so she leaves a note with her number instead. Except he never calls. She’s devastated and feels used. That is kind of how it goes though. Even though she felt a connection with him, they had just met.
Emma has now moved and is starting her new job. As you know, he ends up working with her and doesn’t even remember who she was! That just seals it that it was nothing but a mistake and if he has no idea who she is, then she’s going to forget too.

I enjoyed this story so much! I read it in one sitting and couldn’t wait to see what happens next. There were times I was laughing, cringing in embarrassment or sighing in contentment. Jessica wrote a fun story and it a joy to read. I think it is a great beginning for her. A Night to Forget ends on a cliffhanger and I’m already anxious to see how it will end. 4/5 stars

About the Author:
Jessica Wood writes new adult contemporary romance and chick-lit.

While she has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there’s something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.

She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can’t resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.

She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and—to the benefit of her friends—she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she’s up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn’t a joke.

And it goes without saying, she loves books—they’re like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.

The one thing she wished she had more of is time.

**I love to read when I have a chance. I love making new friends, too. But PLEASE don't add me if you're an author just wanting me to read your book and promote yourself shamelessly. You should have more of a reason for friending me than THAT. Also, please don't recommend me books, I have enough on my TBR and not enough time to read. And I'm a super picky reader. Cheers!**

The daughter of a Norwegian Viking and a Finnish Moomin, Karina Halle grew up in Vancouver, Canada with trolls and eternal darkness on the brain. This soon turned into a love of all things that go bump in the night and a rather sadistic appreciation for freaking people out. Like many of the flawed characters she writes, Karina never knew where to find herself and has dabbled in acting, make-up artistry, film production, screenwriting, photography, travel writing and music journalism. She eventually found herself in the pages of the very novels she wrote (if only she had looked there to begin with).

Karina holds a screenwriting degree from Vancouver Film School and a Bachelor of Journalism from TRU. Her travel writing, music reviews/interviews and photography have appeared in publications such as Consequence of Sound, Mxdwn and GoNomad Travel Guides. She currently lives on an island on the coast of British Columbia where she's preparing for the zombie apocalypse.

***disclaimer***
When I'm not writing, I'm reading. And when I'm not reading I might be writing up a review. I'm wary of books with a lot of hype but unless something has bad reviews across the board, I'll probably still take a chance on it and give my honest opinion. Everyone is different and I won't pass up an adventure just because someone else didn't like it. And that's what I think when I look at my bookshelf...what adventure can I go on today?

Blurb:
All Wrapped Up is Book Two in The List Series.
Mari and Luca continue to work through their list of sexual fantasies in All Wrapped Up, Book Two in The List Series. They've abandoned their original plan of no strings attached and, for the most part, Mari's learning to be okay with it. She definitely likes Luca's strings (and whatever else he might use to restrain her), but she's not sure she's ready to take the next step in their relationship. Luca, sweet, strong, commanding Luca, insists that it's time to move in together. Mari insists it's time to relax and enjoy what they share without complicating things.
With every moment they spend together, Luca shows Mari how good they could be together. Will Mari run away from her emotions, or does Luca have her all wrapped up?
All Wrapped Up is a novella length erotic romance and contains mature adult themes, including graphic and explicit sex.
Teaser:

Up for some company this weekend? Rachel wants to join us.
I showed the screen to Rachel before I hit send. She swallowed and nodded, her movements tight, but certain. I sent the message.
“Jesus.” Rachel drank more wine.
“You know, you don't have to do this.” I'd been teasing her when I brought it up, but the idea of seeing Luca with Rachel stirred excitement low in my belly. This would be a lot of fun. Providing Rachel didn't faint from the idea of it.
“I know.”
Luca responded.
Join us for dinner? Or. . .
I smiled. Even though we'd talked about including other people, we'd both been reluctant to follow through. After the night he brought Richard to meet me, Luca hadn't wanted to push the issue. And I had simply been enjoying him.
We could have dinner first. Then I'd like you to fuck her while I watch.
I hit send and imagined Luca going instantly hard when he read my message. He was incredibly responsive to suggestion.
Rachel watched, but didn't ask what he said. Luca replied immediately.
The new toys can wait. I'll book a room.

Braxton Cole lives in the Pacific Northwest where she spends most of her time holed up in her office writing stories. When she's not writing, she can be found riding her bike, hiking the fabulous local trails, chasing her kids, or wishing that her thumb was a little more green. She has a bad habit of killing what she tries to grow, but hasn't given up hopes of one day being a successful urban farmer.
Braxton writes erotic romance because romance is the stuff that makes life great, and sex is fun. The two belong together, both in life and in fiction.
